    About the Job

    This is a part-time hourly position that offers a path for advancement.

    Our Events Coordinator will play a key role in attracting and retaining members by planning and executing a steady stream of events including workshops (business, financial, wellness, cultural, etc) and social programming (happy hours, member breakfasts, movie nights, etc).

    Our Events Coordinator will also find creative ways to acknowledge and celebrate major holidays (gift exchanges, potlucks, egg hunts, etc), recognize our members (onboarding, birthdays, business milestones, etc), and generally enhance the social benefits that our members enjoy.

    Our Event Coordinator will also assist members, guests, and fellow team members wherever they can in ways big and small, bringing smiles to faces and helping everyone at Ironfire work happier, healthier, and more productively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan a monthly calendar of events in accordance with the description above.
    • Work with management to plan and adhere to a monthly events budget.
    • Seek out and book guest speakers for a variety of in-person workshops.
    • Shop locally as needed for groceries and other supplies needed for events.
    • Participate in promoting key events by creating fliers and social media posts.
    • Cross-train with Community Hosts and help cover front desk on occasion.
    • Set up, break down, oversee, and occasionally host events as needed.
    • Uphold Ironfire’s brand standards, organizational culture, and core values at all times.

    Qualifications Overview

    Our Event Coordinator must be a hospitality-oriented champion for each and every member and guest at Ironfire, so a relentlessly positive and supportive personality is a must. They must be conscientious and precise in their duties, as everything they do is a highly visible reflection of our brand, culture, and values.

    Required:

    • Previous work experience in event planning and/or community management.
    • A non-stop, friendly and supportive demeanor.
    • Impeccable attention to detail.
    • Extremely conscientious approach to daily tasks.

    Preferred:

    • Previous work experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, etc.
    • A personality that likes to prioritize support for others to help them succeed.
    • Flexible working schedule (may be required to attend evening and weekend events on occasion).
