Fundraiser and Community Outreach Events Coordinator

The Ideal Candidate:

• Reliable with excellent attendance record 
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, and demonstrated warm-helpful outgoing personality
• Organized, and able to keep a neat and clean workspace
• Ability to work ahead and manage deadlines for operational purposes
  
• Professional written and verbal communication skills-you will be asked to demonstrate these skills in the screening process
  
• Experience working with community groups raising funds, including not for profit organizations, schools, faith based groups, sports teams, and youth programs
• Proven track record initiating contact calls/emails, promoting company products, making connections
• Ability to track a lead, follow up on lost business, and identify new opportunities 
• Comfortable setting up and hosting complimentary tastings and demonstration events
• Hospitality industry experience-event planning experience preferred
• Fundraising, event planning experience for not for profit groups
• Social Media and event photography
• Basic Graphic Design skills
• Willing to learn simple web page design using Word Press 
• Proficient with multi line phone system, Microsoft office suite, google drive/gmail, copier, invoicing clients, and applying payments
  
• Valid Drivers License and Serve Safe Certificate

Daily Expectations

• Full time commitment.  Combination of in office and at events.  Mixed schedule with regular evening appointments offsite
• Daily prompt customer communication via email and phone, first point of contact for our not for profit and large fundraising client base  
  
• Create fundraising orders for clients using proprietary software-communicate details/updates to operations and service team
• Timely follow-up to customer requests, changes, and comments with professional verbal/written communication
  
• Work as part of event planning team,  assist with basic office management-answer phones, email invoices, and apply payments
• Drive a full size Nelson's Catering van to attend/coordinate tastings and events throughout Central, IL
