Reporting to the Special Events Director, the Special Events Planner is responsible for assisting and helping to lead special event fundraisers in all areas of planning, implementation, and execution to include the annual 700-person Roper Xavier Society Donor Appreciation Gala; at least two signature series events; multiple stewardship events including the Legacy Circle annual event. This position also assists with other institutional events such as board meetings. This position will maintain an active volunteer program by working closely with volunteers and committee to ensure the successful operations of events. The Special Events Planner will function as a liaison with other teammates to properly manage the design, content and quality of collateral material produced for development activities. Additionally, this position requires the management of lists, RSVPs, and working in applicable software systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Two years experience fundraising and/or event management experience required. Health care fundraising experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Raiser's Edge software systems. Focus on independent strategic thinking and attention to detail.
