POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position develops and executes promotions and events, and trains team members on how the events work. Works in a fast-paced environment, where the workflow may be interrupted throughout the course of the day without warning, requiring the team member to adapt and at times make sound business decisions quickly.
This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines. A neat, well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the Promotions & Events Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Develop, organize, and implement all types of promotional activities and programs.
Understand and ensure promotions meet compliance with Tribal Gaming Regulatory Commission and LEC&H policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls when processing promotion winners.
Work with all department managers and all other relevant teams to ensure enforcement and compliance with company policies, training, and communication of events and promotions.
Engage and inform guests and team members about all aspects of Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel including but not limited to promotions and events.
Communicate promotional activities, identify areas where assistance is needed and ensure departments are versed in promotional knowledge.
Resolve errors, complaints and disputes with guests or subordinates.
Prioritize and track the progress of all jobs, including specs, timelines, and other variables.
Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
Act as a special project manager for projects at the request of management, which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations; producing and scheduling social media content; disseminating information; coordinating direct mailings; etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
One (1) year of Casino gaming experience is required.
Prior Guest Service experience is preferred.
Must be personable with the ability to successfully influence guest behavior.

Applicant must know principals, practices, and techniques of project management, gaming tournaments, special event programming, and production.
Must be a creative, innovative, and motivated self-starter, with the ability to recognize and address departmental needs.
Have an in-depth understanding of Tribal Gaming Regulations and Policies & Procedures for gaming tournaments and promotional drawings.
Applicant must be fluent in operating computer hardware and software applications on a regular basis, as well as have interpersonal skills using tact and diplomacy.
Must be a minimum of 21 years old and able to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen; and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider.

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. Occasionally outdoors in various weather conditions. May also, from time to time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music, and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.
