TOSA Job Description in brief - 24-25

• Assist the Assistant Principal with student discipline issues including conducting investigations, interviewing students, communicating with teachers and parents, and completing discipline reports.

• Having some background in technology - Knowledge of Google suite of applications (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Classroom) Knowledge of and ability to work with Google Chromebook’s and assist in their maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of and ability to work with WiFi networks and assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues. Knowledge of and ability to work with some photo and video editing software. Manage school wide applications such as Typing Club, Babble foreign language, Nicole the Math Lady, etc.

• Ability to lead students in our Leadership course - Must have high energy and enthusiasm to lead middle schoolers in a variety of fun activities (Cleaning Olympics, Chess, Manners, CO2 Car Competition, etc.)

• Learn Connect School’s Curriculum and Instructional approach.

• Substitute Teach as needed if other substitute teachers are not available.

• On Duty coverage before and after school monitoring student behavior before school starts and after school when students are awaiting pick-up.

• Availability to participate in some school Saturday activities such as Math Counts, Rocketry Challenge, Regional and State History.

• Assist the Principal / Assistant Principal with monitoring extra-curricular activities.

• Assist the Assistant Principal in year 1 as co-sponsor of the school yearbook. In year two and beyond, assume the sponsorship duties.
