Duties:
· Develop and implement a full schedule of patient events to include at a minimum 2 events weekly, one each on Saturday and Sunday weekly.
· Ensure planned events are not only therapeutic and recovery oriented, but also incorporate elements of popular events, holidays, celebrations, and other pertinent subjects; E.g. – Super Bowl, Cinco De Mayo, NCAA Final Four, Independence Day, Cookouts, other sporting events
· Ensure each planned event has a significant food and drink element
· Ensure each planned event is sufficiently coordinated for smooth operation with other facility staff
· Advertise among patient population said events using posters, announcements, and other means to develop excitement among patient population, while using this as a therapeutic motivational tool in concert with the clinical department.
· Prepare each monthly schedule of events to the CEO, COO, Campus Director, and Clinical Director for the following month no later than 15 days prior to the end of the previous month.
· Coordinate opportunities to bring in outside speakers, entertainers, and motivational instructors to incorporate into said events.
· Ensure that a minimum of 25% of patient events include an educational / skill building component such as resume writing training, wilderness survival skills, practical job skills, vocational activities.
· Ensure a minimum of 1 activity / event per month includes a competitive nature incorporating staff, i.e. patient / staff softball or basketball game, water balloon fight, karaoke, trivia, etc.
· Coordinate and facilitate the monthly patient birthday party.
Supervisor: Direct report to COO, with dotted line reporting to Campus Director and Hillsville Weekend Site Manager
Schedule: MUST be willing to work all weekends and operate on a flexible schedule as necessary, i.e. early / late, as many activities will be in the evenings or late evenings.
