Special Investigations Unit Director oversees the operations for conducting thorough investigations. Develops the strategies for the cross-functional detection and elimination of fraudulent behavior. Being a Special Investigations Unit Director prepares investigative reports and analyses that pertinent to evidence obtained during investigations. Special Kids offers professional services to children ages birth through 21 years. Our treatment range encompasses children who need a little extra help, to children who are medically fragile, and to all sorts of diagnoses in between. Development team members at Special Kids have opportunities for team collaboration, collaboration with other disciplines, and with community partners. Development team members are encouraged to participate in community events and represent the organization with a Christ-like attitude. Their focus is on developing investors to provide resources for the operational needs and future expansion of Special Kids.
Summary
Special Kids is seeking an experienced development professional who is responsible for oversight, initiative-taking planning, and successful execution of a comprehensive fundraising and development plan. The Director of Development will be motivated and inspired to engage donors and raise funds in support of the mission of Special Kids. The Director of Development will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, or other related field, 3-5 years development experience, donor management and/or training in not-for-profit fundraising.
Computer Skill
To be successful in this job, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and web-based applications such as electronic medical records.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) preferred. CPR certification recommended.
