  • Adelphoi has a full-time Unit Director/Supervisor position available! The position is in a Secure/Detention group home setting located on our main campus in Latrobe, PA.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    To oversee and participate in the treatment of the youth who are placed in our Secure/Detention Program. To train, develop and supervise employees, facilitating a safe treatment environment, and maintain a clean and attractive facility at all times. This person should possess the ability to carry out all duties in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local policies, procedures, and requirements.  

    • Supervises employees, interns, and work-study students and handles all related personnel matters.
    • Conducts initial and ongoing training and development of staff.
    • Maintains safe environment through use of programmatic methods.
    • Conducts formal evaluation of staff as required by Adelphoi Village policy.
    • Participates in Agency on-call responsibilities and regular on-call responsibilities for the unit, particularly in crisis situations or as assigned.
    • Communicates with families, community, education and court officials often concerning Secure Program clients and services.
    • Acts as a role model through assertive involvement/interaction with youth.
    • Supervises and participates with youth in educational, recreational and daily living activities as part of or in addition to regular daily schedule.
    • Maintains all unit property, supplies, and equipment for safe and proper conditions.
    • Adheres to Department of Human Services, Labor and Industry, Department of Education and Adelphoi Village policies, procedures, and requirements where appropriate and as required.
    • Travels periodically to carry out essential functions of job.
    • Oversees the development, implementation, evaluation, and monitors individual treatment plans for youth in regard to social, emotional, medical, and mental needs.
    • Reacts swiftly to the customers of the agency including probation, CYS, clients, and families by being organized and task-oriented. 
    • Remains assertive in maintaining the Environment of Care to meet all Joint Commission and Adelphoi Village standards.  
    • Possesses the ability to uphold strong expectations for unit operation, staff performance, and fidelity management to the treatment provided in each program.   

     

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree required.  

    Ideal Applicant will possess 3 years of management/supervisory experience in a group home, juvenile detention, or adult corrections setting.
