The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is seeking to hire a Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Human Resources oversees the organizations’ recruitment strategies, selection process, compensation programs, benefits administration, personnel records, labor and employee relations, and performance management and improvement systems. The Director of Human Resources maintains continuous lines of communication with leadership team members and keeps the Executive Director informed of all critical issues. The incumbent has senior leadership team responsibility for human resources operations to support and ensure effective organization services and activities to achieve the overall mission.
Master’s degree and at least five years human resources administration experience or bachelor’s degree and at least eight years human resources administration experience required. Knowledge of the Pennsylvania School Code, certification, employment and education law, labor law, labor relations, and human resources management required.
Proposed salary range: $125,000 - $150,000.
