Advanced Architectural Products is seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing and interest in the construction and architecture industries. The Technical Writer will play a crucial role in developing compelling content to promote our building systems, educate customers/prospective customers, and support our sales and marketing initiatives -- while also serving as a partner/advisor to the A2P team on grammar, editorial, and communications. The ideal candidate will be based at the A2P office in Allegan, MI, and comfortable in a team-based environment working with existing materials/research, interviewing individuals for product insight, leveraging AI tools, and publishing for a variety of sources.
Key responsibilities:
Author short-, medium, and feature-length articles about A2P systems, industry trends, notable projects, research, market needs, etc.
Content creation focused on marketing content, brochures, web pages, advertising, social media, video/scripts, etc.
Write/distribute marketing emails
Develop content to the specific needs of diverse groups including architects, contractors, building owners, etc.
Leverage content marketing to drive SEO
Lead/grow public relations effort (press releases, author/place articles in external magazines, etc.)
Editing and proofing to improve readability and appropriate voice
Support development of installation manuals
Support development of educational/internal training materials
Continuous learning – editorial, PR, AI, and communications strategies
Experience/Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or a related field
Proven experience in communications/content development
Published articles and/or writing samples
Interest for writing in the construction/architecture industry
Experience doing market/product research
Excellent writing and editing skills
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of content management systems
Experience working with artificial intelligence systems and/or a willingness to learn
