GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To ensure accurate creation of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documents that support customer program requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for creation of ILS documents that support customer program requirements.
• Supports the Sales department in proposal development and ILS estimates.
• Writes subcontractor statements of work and acts as subcontractor ILS liaison.
• Performs reliability and maintainability analysis.
• Prepares training materials and requirements.
• Creates safety assessment reports.
• Develops provisioning/Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) data.
• Attends job kick-off meetings and participates in design reviews with customers.
• Maintains engineering specification files.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
• Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
• Ability to adhere to workplace rules

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS/BA degree preferably in a technical field or writing field
• 5 years as a technical writer
• Desired DOD experience preferred
• Familiarity with DOD ILS requirements preferred
• Excellent writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position is remote eligible upon completion of training. Travel to the manufacturing facility will be required bi-annually or semi-annually, based on need.
• Office environment
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
