Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with medical procedures, such as gastric lavage and IV infusion
- Monitor patients and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program and certification
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical records management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Patient service: Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients
- Acute care: Knowledge of acute care procedures and protocols
- Gastric lavage: Ability to perform gastric lavage under supervision
- IV infusion: Knowledge of IV infusion procedures and techniques
