Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Speech Easy, Speech & Language Therapy, Inc. is currently hiring Speech and Language Pathologists and Speech And Language Pathologist Assistants to provide Early Intervention (birth-36 months) via in-home speech therapy services.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct developmental assessments
· Utilize evidence-based practice to provide speech therapy services in the child’s natural environments (daycare, home, community settings)
· Follow the child’s Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) and collaborate with other professionals working with the family
· Complete progress reports
· Coach family members and other caregivers in the child’s natural environments (daycare, home, community settings) to utilize different intervention strategies for active involvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
· California state SLP license
· ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs)
· Own transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
· Minimum of 6 months full time or 1-year part-time experience with Early Intervention population (birth-36 months)
