Speech and Language Pathologist jobs in Evansville, IN

Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     What matters to us:

    • Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Pathology
    • Kentucky Licensure as required by the Kentucky Board of Examiners for Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology as required by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
    • Assisted Technology Professional (ATP) and vital stem certification preferred.
    • Possession of valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
    • Currently possess or able to complete first aid and CPR certification (training provided)
    • Communicate well with others including staff and our individuals
    • Diagnose and evaluate speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors including but not limited to:

    1. Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing screenings, swallowing and speech/language tests

    2. Evaluate and monitor individuals for appropriate service needs per policy
