Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. JOB SUMMARY: The Aspire Speech & Learning Center is seeking a speech, language pathologist who loves early intervention, is comfortable working with a team, and has exceptional relationship-building skills. The position combines working in Baby Clinic setting at the Central Valley Regional Center and serving private practice clients in an office setting. The Speech Pathologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide professional-level care to clients and must demonstrate an understanding of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Diagnostic ability is critical to assess very young clients and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each client's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.

CERTIFICATION: Licensed Speech Therapist by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs and Clinical Certificate of Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. CFY will be considered.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years Speech Pathology experience preferred.
