Speech and Language Pathologist jobs in New York, NY
Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Looking for an SLP to take over a part time caseload (2-3 days a week). All cases are in Brooklyn and within 15 minutes walking/2 subway stops apart (Brooklyn Heights, Prospect Heights, Park Slope). The schedule is flexible, and you could see this caseload in addition to another placement/position, or can grow in the position to take on more clients. Pay will depend on experience, ranging from $70-80/30 minute sessions.

-experience with articulation/phonology a must
-experience with children ages 2-7
-experience with GLP, ASD a must (or willingness to take Meaningful Speech course)
-experience with feeding and EI a plus
-must be CCC-SLP
