Speech and Language Pathologist jobs in Salt Lake City, UT
Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The SLP therapy team in the south Salt Lake City area is growing, and we would be happy to have you! Facilities like Mount Olympus Rehabilitation, Meadowbrook Rehab and Nursing, and Pine Creek Rehabilitation are looking for additional Speech Language Pathologist coverage for our amazing patients.
Hours:
- ~5-10 hours are available each week. This position does require on-site treatment, but these hours can be spread throughout the week between the hours of 8 AM and 7 PM.
Wages:
- This position offers hourly wages of $42-50 depending on experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Requirements:
- A current UTAH: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing
- Learning and implementing local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to providing therapy in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Enjoy working with the general population found within a skilled nursing facility
Job Duties:
- Occasionally treat clinically complex patients
- Provide competent care for geriatric patients
- Learn documentation process and maintain productivity standards
- Effectively communicate with other therapists and patients
