Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments in a nursing home or long term care setting. Conducts patient evaluation of speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating and counseling the patient. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home documents assessment and patient progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Ensures that treatment aligns with patient needs and is within the parameters set by the payer. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology or equivalent. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and may require a state license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     This is a consistent Full Time opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to perform treatments, evaluations, and re-evaluations in residential settings in Wareham and the surrounding area.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the lives of patients by providing Speech therapy services in the comfort and convenience of their own homes. You will also be a part of a team of professionals working together to meet the needs of patients and their families.

    Clinicians are responsible for:

    • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide variety of speech, language, cognitive and swallowing impairments
    • Providing patient and caregiver education
    • Developing individualized treatment plans for each patient

    Base rate: Up to $140/hour

    Mileage reimbursement: .62/mile

    Requirements:

    Home healthcare experience is recommended, but not required.

    • Candidates must have MA Speech Language Pathologist license.
    • Minimum of 1-year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
    • COVID- 19 vaccination is required of our staff.
