Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home jobs in Ventura, CA
Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments in a nursing home or long term care setting. Conducts patient evaluation of speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating and counseling the patient. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home documents assessment and patient progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Ensures that treatment aligns with patient needs and is within the parameters set by the payer. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology or equivalent. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and may require a state license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Job Description
Home Health Links is looking for a full-time or part-time Home Health Speech Language Pathologist Therapist.Provides speech therapy services to patients according to a written plan of care. This may include, but will not be limited to:
- Assesses the therapeutic and rehabilitative status of the patient and develops an appropriate treatment plan for each patient; updates and modifies treatment plan on an ongoing basis.
- Ability to recognize when patient protocols or treatment plans need modification to meet appropriate patient needs and report to the physician.
- Ability to prepare and maintain records with accuracy and discretion

Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Speech Language Therapy program.
- Current and unrestricted CA Speech Language Pathologist Therapy license; or ability to apply
