Speech and Language Pathology Director plans and directs the operations of an organization's audiology and speech therapy functions to ensure effective operation and compliance with regulatory standards. Designs policies and processes to ensure efficient service delivery and promote best practices. Being an Speech and Language Pathology Director develops and implements long-term strategic plans and objectives for audiology and speech therapy programs in alignment with the organization's overall objectives. Provides leadership and oversight to the development and expansion of programs or service offerings. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathology Director evaluates program design, assessment tools, and treatment protocols and researches advancements in the field. Develops and manages the budget to allocate resources to support staffing, equipment, and other program needs. Monitors operational and financial metrics to measure the achievement of organizational objectives. Negotiates and selects vendor proposals and manages vendors to maintain inventories and adhere to budgets. May require a master's degree in audiology or speech pathology. Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to senior management. The Speech and Language Pathology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Speech and Language Pathology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at CASA Speech and Development Services.. As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in evaluating and treating students with IEPs for speech and language services. You will work directly with children, assisting in therapy sessions, implementing treatment plans, and providing vital support to facilitate their progress and development.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Therapy Support:

    - Assist licensed SLPs in conducting therapy sessions with students, both individually and in group settings.

    - Implement treatment plans and therapy techniques as directed by the supervising SLP.

    - Monitor and document students' progress and responses to therapy activities.

    - Collaborate with SLPs to adjust treatment strategies based on individual student needs.

    2. Student Interaction and Engagement:

    - Interact with students in a warm, caring, and child-friendly manner to create a positive therapeutic experience.

    - Engage students in therapy activities and exercises to stimulate communication and language development.

    - Foster rapport with students and their families to build trust and ensure a comfortable and supportive experience.

    3. Administrative Support:

    - Assist in maintaining student records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with TEA standards.

    - Coordinate with SLP for scheduling students’ therapy sessions.

    4. Communication and Collaboration:

    - Work closely with SLPs, providing them with regular updates on students' progress and responses to therapy.

    - Collaborate with other school staff to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to student therapy.

    - Communicate effectively with patients' families, offering guidance and support to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.

    5. Professional Development:

    - Participate in regular professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in pediatric speech therapy.

    - Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

    Qualifications:

    - Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

    - Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for SLPA certification.

    - Experience working with pediatric populations and a passion for helping children with speech and language challenges.

    - Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and methodologies, including experience with therapy materials and tools.

    - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families.
