Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor jobs in Lompoc, CA

Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages the daily operations of an organization's audiology and speech therapy functions. Plans and develops speech therapy programs and evaluates program objectives and results to determine effectiveness. Being an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor reviews assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations. Monitors inventories and supplies and tracks spending to ensure adherence to departmental budgets. Additionally, Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor implements operational procedures to ensure effective care, promote best practices, and facilitate efficient workflow. Provides professional guidance and oversight to resolve complex cases or issues. Recruits, hires, and manages staff and designs and leads development and training activities. May require a master's degree in audiology or speech pathology. Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Conduct assessments and provide comprehensive reports highlighting areas of strength and improvement, focusing on aspects of voice, speech, and fluency for informed decision-making.
    • Develop unique treatment plans with a child and family-first mentality, considering the individual needs and circumstances of each student and their family.
    • Actively participate in and/or conduct Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable insights and recommendations to support students' communication goals and objectives.
    • Adhere to confidentiality guidelines in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations, ensuring the privacy and security of information related to children and their families.

    What You Bring:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or Related Field
    • Valid IL Speech Language Pathology Therapy (SLP) license
    • Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting preferred
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and other professionals
    • Strong leadership skills
