Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages the daily operations of an organization's audiology and speech therapy functions. Plans and develops speech therapy programs and evaluates program objectives and results to determine effectiveness. Being an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor reviews assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations. Monitors inventories and supplies and tracks spending to ensure adherence to departmental budgets. Additionally, Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor implements operational procedures to ensure effective care, promote best practices, and facilitate efficient workflow. Provides professional guidance and oversight to resolve complex cases or issues. Recruits, hires, and manages staff and designs and leads development and training activities. May require a master's degree in audiology or speech pathology. Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Overview: As a Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist with ProCare Therapy, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students. Through teletherapy, you'll have the opportunity to provide personalized speech and language interventions that empower students to communicate effectively and achieve academic success. This contract position offers the flexibility of remote work while allowing you to collaborate closely with educators, parents, and students to deliver high-quality services.

    Location: Remote (California-based)

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities and identify areas of need.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges.
    • Provide engaging and effective speech-language therapy sessions via teletherapy platforms, utilizing creative and evidence-based interventions.
    • Collaborate with school teams to support students' academic and social-emotional growth, participating in IEP meetings and providing ongoing progress monitoring.
    • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach to intervention.
    • Stay informed about current best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating new strategies into your therapy sessions as appropriate.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
    • Current California state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy setting.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
    • Tech-savvy with proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and digital tools to deliver services remotely.
    • Dedication to providing culturally responsive and inclusive services that meet the diverse needs of students.
