Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages the daily operations of an organization's audiology and speech therapy functions. Plans and develops speech therapy programs and evaluates program objectives and results to determine effectiveness. Being an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor reviews assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations. Monitors inventories and supplies and tracks spending to ensure adherence to departmental budgets. Additionally, Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor implements operational procedures to ensure effective care, promote best practices, and facilitate efficient workflow. Provides professional guidance and oversight to resolve complex cases or issues. Recruits, hires, and manages staff and designs and leads development and training activities. May require a master's degree in audiology or speech pathology. Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What you’ll do:-Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
    • Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
    • Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
    • Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
    • Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
    • Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
    • Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
    • Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric speech language pathology.

    What you’ll need:

    • A current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
    • An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
    • Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
    • Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

    Bonus points for:
    • 3 years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
    • Experience in a home-health setting.
    • Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (VitalStim, etc.)
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
