    A Brief Overview
    Responsible for the administration, development and coordination of strategic and operational functions of all HNMC Breast Programs. Serves as key leader in the clinical development, and implementation of a Comprehensive Breast Program. This includes, but not limited to, financial and strategic planning, clinical workflow and practice standardization, accreditations and development of program initiatives as it relates to Breast Services. Overall management responsibility for multidisciplinary breast teams (including but not limited to Imaging, Surgery, Medical Oncology, Navigation and Genetics). Collaborates with the Vice President of Oncology Services, Executive Leadership, oncology leaders and physicians to implement strategies to ensure high quality and efficient services leading to and promoting programmatic growth. Provides support and direction to breast services leaders with regards to compliance with regulatory organizations, clinical practice, technology and operations.

    What you will do

    • Directly oversees the activities of clinical and non-clinical staff, including hiring, training, terminating, developing, evaluating.
    • Specifically accountable for Breast Center building operations and compliance
    • Monitors the daily program operations.
    • Prepares and delivers reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward meeting goals and objectives, to include performance related to quality and finance.
    • Oversees performance appraisals/reviews.
    • Initiates and executes performance improvement.
    • Develop and implement effective planning processes that allow for the timely and clear definition of goals (CQI).
    • Directs and provides guidance to managers to effectively allocate resources based on patient volume, space availability, budget constraints, and program priorities, goals and objectives.
    • Recommends and justifies current and future capital equipment needs and replacements, and future space allocation.
    • Prepares and monitors capital equipment and operational budgets, reporting variances.
    • Develops and implements performance standards appropriate for Center activities that address quality, productivity, customer service and financial accountability.
    • Leads and facilitates internal Quality Assurance and Quality Control meetings where departmental problems are identified and resolved.
    • Implements and evaluates quality assurance to ensure maximum quality and consistency with State and Federal regulations.
    • Ensures quality control is performed and documented according to the MQSA/FDA, ACR and JCAHO standards.
    • Oversees compliance of licensure and credentials for all staff.
    • Oversees accuracy of mammography result reporting as required by MQSA guidelines.
    • Accountable for preparation and facilitation of annual federal and state inspections.
    • Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development.
    • Maintains interactive communication with patients and families and effectively addresses conflict and opportunities for improvement.
    • Along with Medical Directors and Vice President of Oncology Services, plans, directs and establishes department goals.
    • Serves in a collaborative role for business planning and marketing initiatives.
    • Ensures billing information and coding meets current standards to obtain proper reimbursement.
    • Monitors Radiology Information System to ensure accurate and timely radiology reports to include, routine reports, result letters and follow up letters to patients and referring physicians. physicians.
    • Serves as a leading counterpart to IS in systems enhancement initiatives
    • Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilizes for decisions regarding FTEs, staffing
    • and operational budget. Remains current of new trends and best practices and incorporates into Breast/Oncology
    • Services practices and programs.
    • Ensures development of Breast/Oncology Services initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and family centered care.
    • Manages the complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations within Breast Oncology Services.
    • Serves on a variety of appropriate internal and external committees to represent Breast/Oncology Services
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Education Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in health sciences, health administration or other related field required, required and
    • Master's Degree or equivalent professional experience required. preferred


    Experience Qualifications

    • Minimum 7 years progressive management, specific to Breast and/or Oncology Services required

    • Strategic planning, effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations; broad knowledge of breast program management, principles and best practices; clinical service expansion and implementation; effective organizational, planning and project management abilities; ability to function
