Responsible for managing the administrative activities of the program including identifying funding sources, acquiring funding, setting program policies and objectives, and allocating resources. Being a Sponsored Programs Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sponsored Programs Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sponsored Programs Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    * Assists in the operational and fiscal operation in the Sponsored Programs Admin group within the RECD.
    * Work with pre and post award teams to assist with proposal budgets and other proposal functions; assist with project setups, assist with subcontract setup; assist with project closeouts; research and analyze data and prepare reports; provide department staff with information as it relates to grant projects

    8:00 am to 5:00 pm; M-F

    Minimum Qualifications

    A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

    Working knowledge of Excel; Microsoft Office suite; PeopleSoft

    Anticipated Hiring Range

    Pay commensurate with education and experience.
    Hiring Range: $20.66 to $23.50 Hourly
