Sponsored Programs Director directs and oversees externally funded programs for a university/college such as research programs and scholarship programs. Responsible for managing the administrative activities of the program including identifying funding sources, acquiring funding, setting program policies and objectives, and allocating resources. Being a Sponsored Programs Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sponsored Programs Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, this at-will leadership position based within a program is responsible for the clinical supervision of Quality Assurance Coordinators, Personal Service Coordinators, Interns; and assisting the Program Director in the functioning of the program. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff who perform the established duties of the program. This is a management position responsible for ensuring that clinical needs of members are met, and that necessary paperwork is complete and accurate.

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, license eligibility, and varied work experience as a provider of mental health services.
OPTIMUM:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in a relevant discipline, full licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC verified through registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), plus four (4) years of clinical experience as a provider of mental health services.
