What’s the position?

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to spearhead our Sportsbook Research & Development department. You will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of quants, traders, analysts and testers, driving cutting-edge research and development efforts, and overseeing the implementation of innovative solutions to propel our sportsbook platform to the forefront of the industry.

You will:

• Lead the Research & Development department, contributing to our sportsbook’s strategic direction
• Build and manage a high performing team collaborating internally, and with our partners, to deliver successful projects and releases
• Oversee research projects, ensuring they are delivered to time and expected standard
• Continuously improve our operation through creation, enhancements and refinements of tech tools and solutions
• Encourage your team to innovate beyond the core tasks allotted to them
• Ensure subject matter expert UAT is performed to a comprehensive standard for releases external to the team
• Stay up to date on trends, innovations and technology across the sports betting industry
• Provide regular reports on research progress, key findings, insights, and project statuses to business leadership
• Be a key member of the sportsbook senior leadership team

What are we looking for?

You will have senior management experience in the trading function of a sportsbook. You will be an accomplished leader of people and processes, comfortable in data and detail, an inspirational mentor to your team. You will have strong communication and presentation skills. You will be decisive, and logical in your thinking. You will be a subject matter expert on sports and sportsbook. Coding capability is desirable but not essential. You will be analytical, mathematically minded, detail orientated with a penetrating eye for spotting errors. You will understand the regulatory terrain of US sportsbetting and be an authority on the nuances of the subject matter. Experience in sportsbetting data analysis and modelling is preferred.
