POSITION SUMMARY:
At Tri Tool, we honor creativity, self-empowerment, and the unconventional. Currently, we are looking for a Technical Writer who can work independently and operate under limited supervision in creating customer facing documentation for industrial tools and machinery for pipe and tube machining applications. Self-motivated and results-driven, our ideal candidate exhibits a desire to learn, high attention to detail, command of the English language and an eye for professional design and document aesthetics.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
· *Collaborate and strategize with colleagues in the engineering, sales, and marketing departments to create clear, concise, and visually appealing product documentation.
· *Become familiar with company products including tool application, operation, and general construction.
· *Create/develop user manuals for machine tools.
· *Create technical specification documentation for machine tools.
· *Manage existing customer-facing documentation, ensuring updates and modifications are released in a timely manner.
· *Develop/refine standardized formats in keeping with marketing/branding guidelines.
· Utilize graphical design skills to create clear and descriptive diagrams.
· Assist with departmental administrative duties/document control.
· Perform all duties as assigned with adherence to Tri Tool’s Core Values.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1 year applicable experience in creation of technical or marketing materials using design software (recent experience with Adobe InDesign is preferred).
· Communicate professionally with excellent technical writing skills, grammar, and attention to detail.
· Knowledgeable and skilled with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Knowledge of Adobe InDesign software or similar.
· Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task projects and information.
· Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· AA/AS degree from accredited college or university or equivalent course work completed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds without assistance; Lifting/Moving anything over 50 pounds must be assisted. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; stoop; squat; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to safely use hand tools, power tools, and engineering product. Must be able to use office equipment such as computers, multi-line phones, scanners, copiers, and paper cutters.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting. The noise level is mild in the office. Infrequent travel to other company facilities or client locations may be required.
Duties may require interaction or work in a shop/plant atmosphere. The production or shop/plant environment may have a moderate to loud noise level and requires use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Interaction with other employees, as well as supervisors, and client personnel. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
