Target Pay: Start - $21.24 One Year - $23.60
Essential Job Functions:
- Always welcomes guests to the Sportsbook
- Responsible for being well-versed in the products and services offered by the Sportsbook Department and the ability to promote to the guests in a confident and professional manner any and all current promotions and events that are being offered
- Communicates and explains the wager process to new and existing guests
- Responsible for obtaining and balancing their own cash bank during their shift
- Responsible for placing, writing, cashing and processing tickets according to the cash handling policy and procedures
- Must maintain strict confidence of all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by Rivers Casino & Resort, team members and guests
- Complies with all internal controls and procedures that are related to department operations
- Ability to handle guest disputes, resolve complaints and difficult situations in a calm and patient manner
- Maintain cleanliness at their work station, in and around the Sportsbook Department.
- Ensure all gaming regulations, Title 31 and other policies and procedures are always adhered to
- Ensures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external, including but not limited to, state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming Commission regulations
- Ability to investigate and assist guests with kiosk malfunctions and service interruptions in full compliance with New York State Gaming Commission and policy and procedures
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of customer service experience
- One or more years of cash handling experience (preferred)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to communicate with the leadership team, team members, and guests
- Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain a New York State Gaming License
Working Conditions:
- Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use of hand to finger dexterity, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; stand and/or walk for prolonged period of time
- Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel
- Ability to interact with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
- Possible exposure to high noise level for extended periods of time
