Staff Nurse - RN - CCU provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the critical/coronary care unit. Performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - CCU assists physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - CCU typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Staff Nurse - RN - CCU's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.
Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary/Travel/Contract)
Shift: 3x12 Days

Requirements:- Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
- Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
- Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
- Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
- Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
