Staff Nurse - RN - CCU provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the critical/coronary care unit. Performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - CCU assists physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - CCU typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). JOB SUMMARY
The role encompasses the management of critical care patient care through implementation of the nursing process, supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See License and Certifcations.
Experience: One year previous Telemetry experience required. Previous clinical experience in ICU/CCU preferred. Critical Care course/update either prior to hire/transfer or within 6 months of hire/transfer.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment; manage/prioritize/delegate patient care, and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned. Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
License and Certifications: Current nursing license, state of California, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS, Basic EKG course or passing of 80% or greater on exam to be completed within orientation period and completion of a 12 Lead EKG class either prior to hire/transfer or within 12 months of hire.

PAY RANGE
$46.50 - $70.09
