Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care jobs in Florence, AL
Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Responsibilities for Home Health RN (Registered Nurse), Parsons, TN:
- Delivers skilled nursing care following MD/FNP/PA orders in the home environment.
- Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record to document all care provided.
- Reports change in patient condition to MD/FNP/PA and prepares orders to reflect these changes.
- Participates in staff meetings, in-service programs and patient care conferences.
- Participates in the on-call rotation.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience for Home Health RN (Registered Nurse), Parsons, TN:
- Current RN license to practice in the state of Tennessee.
- Valid TN driver’s license, current liability insurance and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR certification required.
