Now Hiring: (RN) Staff Development/Wound Nurse

Job Type: Full-time with On-call rotation

Shift Type: First

Responsibilities of an (RN) Staff Development/Wound Nurse:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under the medical direction and supervisor of the residents' attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, and the Medical Director of the facility.
• Monitor the performance of non-licensed personnel.
• Assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical psychological need of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of the policies and procedures of this facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility.
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness.
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Any other duties assigned by Director of Nursing.

Qualifications of an (RN) Staff Development/Wound Nurse:

• Previous Long-Term Care experience.
• Prior experience/certification in Wound Care.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with active license in the state of Connecticut.
