Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice provides professional nursing care to assigned terminally ill patients in a hospice environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' condition and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Hospice RN Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a current NC RN license or compact state RN license.
- At least two years of experience in an acute care facility or home care agency.
- Must possess a valid NC driver's license. National Certification (CHPN) recommended after completion of at least two years of full-time experience as an RN in a hospice nursing practice
