Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice provides professional nursing care to assigned terminally ill patients in a hospice environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' condition and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. The RN (Registered Nurse) provides skilled professional nursing care to the patient/family/caregiver as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulation as established by the State Board of Registered Nursing, the patient, and the policies of Harbor Hospice.
Qualifications:
A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current state of Michigan Registered Nurse License
Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan
