Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice provides professional nursing care to assigned terminally ill patients in a hospice environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' condition and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Hospice's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Hospice of Santa Cruz County is hiring Hospice Nurses (RNs) who will provide bedside care to our patients. In partnership with the HSCC Care Team, end of life support and guidance is also provided to our patients and families. Care is provided to patients in home or facility settings in Santa Cruz County and North Monterey County.
