Staff Nurse - RN - Infection Control performs hospital-wide surveillance and data collection as part of an overall infection-control program. Investigates possible incidences of infection and implements remedial action. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Infection Control works with the infection control committee to establish infection control standards and procedures, and educates staff on how to prevent and control infections. Informs the appropriate state and county organizations of any reportable infections and diseases. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Infection Control typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. May require CIC certification. Staff Nurse - RN - Infection Control's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. We have an immediate need for a Staff Nurse (RN or LPN) at The Blake at Biloxi.

Primary Responsibilities:- Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders within the scope of their applicable board and state regulations for assistant living.
- Provide world class care and service for our residents while remaining flexible and adapt to change.
- Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
- Work independently (with minimal direct supervision) and with a team to make decisions, organize/prioritize tasks effectively, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
- Serve as charge nurse on shift for the personal assistants under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team
Education/Experience
- Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others
- Current license for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current CPR certification
- Assisted Living or Long-term care experience preferred
- Current First Aid certification preferred
- Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
