Certified Infection Control Nurse:

Job Duties:

• Under the direction of the DON, oversees the infection control program in the facility.
• Provides education to all staff regarding infection control principles and techniques.
• Monitors and collects data on infections and vaccinations.
• Updates policies and procedures as needed with the guidance and direction of the DON.
• Maintains all infection control data and reports as required to outside agencies.
• Sets up clinics and administers vaccines.
• Collect, audit and report infection control data to the QAPI committee.
• Participates with Staff Development in relation to roles, responsibilities, principles and practices of infection control.
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with SNF safety, sanitation standards, and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and SNF terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office (or similar technology) and data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

• Statesboro, GA (Required)
