Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy jobs in Buffalo, NY

Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require CRNI certification as an infusion nurse. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Vermont license or compact license in hand at the time of application. • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted. • COVID booster required for onboarding. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. • Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Medical declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Prior travel & exp. in large teaching facility req.\ Seeking candidate with Adolescent Psych experience. IVS does interviews and offers. No block schedules for any reason, vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April.
