Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy jobs in New York, NY
Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require CRNI certification as an infusion nurse. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Position: RN ER
Shift: Days/Nights
Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly Gross: $ 2,760 (based on 36 hours)
ICU RN QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB SUMMARY
- BSN or higher degree from accredited nursing school.
- RN License to practice in New York State or by reciprocity
- ICU Nurses DAY 7A - 7:30P
- Requires AHA BCLS, ACLS, PALS
- Must have 3yrs ICU experience.
- MUST HAVE EXP W/EPIC
- Facility requires De-Escalation Cert prior to start.
- Efficient in managing patient with EVD, multiple medication drips, use of Hemosphere Flotrac.
- Efficient in managing trauma patient of different severities.
- Perform assessment using CAM, CPOT, and RASS
- Efficient in the care of patient with hypothermia treatment
- Familiar with the care pleurevac chest tube drainage
- Must observe strict isolation precaution, hand washing, gel in and gel out.
- Familiar with the use of PCA pump
