Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics provides professional nursing care to assigned OB/GYN patients. Assists physicians with examinations, labor and delivery, operates and monitors medical equipment, and records relevant statistics, including time of birth. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics provides immediate and comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. Observes patient's condition, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics may administer medications and IV solutions as necessary. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Requires a valid state RN license.     • Shift/Status: Fulltime Staff, 7am-7pm Day shift, 3/12's per week

    Patient Population: Cardiovascular surgery, PACU, pre & post, Cath Lab, Ablations, Pacemakers, EP Lab, Radiology & PAT

    Required Experience: RN Candidates MUST have 2 years of recent, full time ICU (prefer cardiovascular ICU)

    • Must have flexibility with floating and/or flexing off with spring/winter breaks, holidays and physician vacations.

    A physician-owned joint-venture facility and a single service line specialty cardiovascular hospital located in Denton, Texas. Established in 2014 with 22 beds, the hospital has grown to serve more than 16,000 people each year and performs more than 300 Heart Surgeries per year. We also provide cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, emergency medicine, sleep medicine, cardiopulmonary rehab, advanced cardiac imaging, and outpatient chronic disease clinic services to patients on our campus..     QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

    MAJOR - Nursing
    EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of recent, full time, experience in PACU or ICU (Preferred Cardiovascular ICU)
    CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)
    Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
