UPMC Hamot, a Magnet designated facility located in Erie, PA, is currently hiring a Part-Time Staff Nurse to support 7 South Oncology (Med Surg). 

Sign-On Bonus Details (Part-Time Status)
•    $10,000 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience
•    Up $7,500 sign-on bonus available for graduate nurses

7 South Oncology is a 46-bed acute medical-oncology unit that provides care for adults 18 and older and geriatric patients with a variety of medical illnesses. The unit specializes in oncology care and provides chemotherapy to cancer patients. Within our 46 beds, we have 12 step-down beds for patients who require a higher level of care. This is a good unit for nurses to learn a variety of different skills to increase their knowledge base. The staff on 7-South have great teamwork and work among some of the most experienced nurses!

The minimum rate of pay for a non-BSN Professional Staff Nurse is $31.10.

Responsibilities:

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team, responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The Professional Staff Nurse has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care, manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the Professional Staff Nurse encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision and establishes collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Professional Staff Nurse demonstrates a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.
