Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals of all ages in various healthcare settings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, pain levels, and overall well-being
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Proven experience in pain management, medical terminology, primary care, catheter care, diagnostic evaluation, acute care, medication administration, infection control, infant care, and inhalation therapy
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
