Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned psychiatric patients in a home care environment. Conducts patient intake assessments, develops mental health care plans in conjunction with psychiatrist, and administers medications. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care develops therapeutic relationships with patients and records observations of behavioral changes in patient medical records. Helps family members to understand the nature of the condition, and teaches them how to maintain a healthy environment for the patient. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. What you will be doing as a Registered Nurse, RN
- Provide hands on advanced care in accordance with medical orders: tilt-table, advanced bowel programs, wound care, medication set ups, colostomy/catheter care, trachea care, feeding tubes, training and supervision of aides, etc.
- Work facility staffing shifts with our contracted facility partners
Some of our requirements:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) through the state of Michigan
- 6 months recent, relevant experience is preferred (in Facility Staffing, or Home Care)
- Valid Driver’s License, and Auto Insurance (if applicable)
- Updated TB Test, agree to Covid-19 testing as required.
- Must be able to pass a background check
