Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned psychiatric patients in a home care environment. Conducts patient intake assessments, develops mental health care plans in conjunction with psychiatrist, and administers medications. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care develops therapeutic relationships with patients and records observations of behavioral changes in patient medical records. Helps family members to understand the nature of the condition, and teaches them how to maintain a healthy environment for the patient. We are currently accepting applications for a Full Time (1.0 FTE) Post Anesthesia care unit Staff Nurse. This position is scheduled 80 hours per biweekly pay period, Monday-Friday primarily 7am-3:30pm and on-call required.
The Post Anesthesia care unit RN provides comprehensive nursing care for post anesthesia recovery patients. Utilizes knowledge and skills in monitoring, assessment and intervention for anesthesia recovery and immediate post-surgical status. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the PAR setting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current New York State License and registration as RN. BLS and ACLS certification required. Previous ICU or PACU experience is required.
