Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned psychiatric patients in a home care environment. Conducts patient intake assessments, develops mental health care plans in conjunction with psychiatrist, and administers medications. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care develops therapeutic relationships with patients and records observations of behavioral changes in patient medical records. Helps family members to understand the nature of the condition, and teaches them how to maintain a healthy environment for the patient. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Our nurses deliver high quality care to patients in their own home environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to address all the patient’s needs, developing relationships, and ensuring continuity of care. This highly rewarding field requires organization and the ability to work independently, managing your own caseload and making your own work schedule.

    Work schedule: Monday through Friday, generally 8-5PM , 4 or 5 day work week option, with a rotating weekend schedule.

    Job Requirements: Current California RN license, at least one year of professional nursing work experience, CPR certified (Healthcare Provider), reliable vehicle to drive for work, current Driver's license and clean driving record, have and maintain auto insurance coverage. Home Health experience a plus.

    This position is paid by the visit. Compensation for routine visits ranges from $52.00-$60.00 per visit; evaluations range from $88.00-$102.00 per visit; and admissions range from $156.00-$180.00 per visit.  Each nurse has an hourly rate of pay for additional work hours, which ranges from $41.00-$47.00 per hour.  Actual pay rates vary depending on factors including type of visit, type of experience, location, and years of experience.
