Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit provides professional nursing care to assigned patients with varying levels of mental health disorders and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities, including outpatients and psychiatric inpatients. Works as part of an interdisciplinary medical team to evaluate patients and develop treatment plans. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit administers medications, monitors patient progress, and records observations in patient medical records. Promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit may supervise lower-level nurses. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.     In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional psychiatric nursing care for your patients. You will offer guidance to patient's families and other team members. You will assess patient and family needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.
