Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit provides professional nursing care to assigned patients with varying levels of mental health disorders and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities, including outpatients and psychiatric inpatients. Works as part of an interdisciplinary medical team to evaluate patients and develop treatment plans. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit administers medications, monitors patient progress, and records observations in patient medical records. Promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit may supervise lower-level nurses. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. - Be detail oriented to ensure that the blood collected meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused
- Remain flexible to work a variable schedule that includes early start times, late end times, weekend and holidays to meet the needs of sponsors and donors
- Contribute to a friendly and fun environment; team up with co-workers to keep donors coming back repeatedly
- Be a model of professionalism and compassion with serving as an ambassador to this organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:- 1 years of recent nursing experience required
- BLS issued through American Heart Association
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- RN license in state of practice or compact license
- Healthcare training / experience preferred
