Staff Nurse - RN - Recovery Room jobs in Baton Rouge, LA

360 Recovery Group is looking for a dedicated RN to join the team!

This position is part-time, averaging 15 hours a week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting assessments and vital signs
• Monitoring patient's status in relation to treatment with medication
• Instructing the patient, patients’ family, significant others, or caregivers of the expected effects of therapeutic doses of medications
• Administering prescribed medication, when ordered, by the supervising physician as part of a mental health rehabilitation plan, which is inclusive of additional rehabilitation services
• Providing required monthly hours of clinical service for assigned patients
• Examining members to determine adverse side effects from prescribed medication
• Conduct monthly group sessions providing education on topics such as COVID-19, high blood pressure, smoking, etc.
• Assisting treatment team by providing suggestions for treatment program
• Nurse education daily with documented notes
• Conduct nurse assessments and treatment plans as needed
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary

MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The RN may provide aspects of Medication Management within the scope of his/her practice
• Assists LMHP with crisis intervention as needed
• Oversee and conduct weekly supervision of LPN
• Submits clinical documentation for services provided in accordance with agency policies and procedures and applicable laws
• Maintains a professional relationship with members, staff, family members, and community
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a registered nurse (RN) with a license from the State of Louisiana Board of Nursing
