Reviews patient histories, administers medications, and performs dialysis treatments. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis ensures dialysis machine and all products used during a treatment are properly prepared and meet quality standards. Monitors the patient during dialysis, records observations in patient medical records, and reports any changes in condition to the physician as needed. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis supervises technicians or nursing aides that perform monitoring or patient care tasks during a treatment. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. As a Dietitian at US Renal Care, you'll be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to care for patients living with kidney disease.
Patient Nutrition. You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team working to ensurepatients receive the best care, including conducting all required patient assessment and care planning activities and participating in a monthly interdisciplinary patient care conference. You'll recommend therapeutic diets based on patient nutritional needs, preferences, and changes in treatment in consultation with the patient's physician, evaluating standard menus and revising as needed. You'll help patients obtain dietary supplements, as needed. You'll also design and shared educational materials and conduct seminars or classes for dialysis patients.
Teamwork. You'll collaborate with the Medical Director and physicians and maintain positive relationships with area hospitals, agencies, vendors, and the community.
Safety & Quality. You'll help with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize missed treatments and hospitalizations, achieving target goals for patient outcomes. You'll also help maintain a productive quality assurance program and participate in monthly Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
